4 years for an Honours, an addition 2-4 years for a Masters, and an additional 2-4 years for a PhD.

Course requirements vary from school to school.

A word of caution, you can do jack squat with just a B.A. or B.A Honours degree. You will need AT LEAST a Masters.

With a Master's you won't be a Psychologist, but you can do therapy under the guidance of a PhD. Basically, you do the work, the Doctor just reviews it and signs off on it.

The average earnings for Master's degree is about $50,000 and $100,000 for a PhD.

Again, this varies from job to job, country to country, province to province.

I have a BA in psychology. I found that just this degree was only enough to become a case worker or intake person at a local or government MHMR (mental health mental retardation) facility. I am now working on my master's degree.
In Texas, you have to have at least a master's to become an LPC (licensed professional counselor) or to call yourself a therapist. You are not a psychologist until you have your PhD.
Money wise: BA: $15 - 22K per year, MS: $30 - 40K, PhD: $45K and up.
You could become a psychiatrist which is a medical doctor. They mostly dispense meds and do some exclusive counseling. They spend many years in school specializing in this field, but when they're done they can ask for $150 - 250 per hour.
Salaries and/or specific requirements may be different in other states.
If you are really interested in psychology take a general course in high school or when first entering college. This will give you a chance to see if you really like the field.
Hope this helps.

Yes. Suicide is a both a psychological phenomenon and a sociological fact state. As long as you keep your objectivity and refrain from judging from own values point of view the suicide as an act, its an acceptable topic for any psychologist. But suicide has a variety for forms under different criteria. You should decide on what approach you wanna take and what exactly you want to study about suicide.
